Saturday
June is normally still considered spring in Maine. And up until this point, that's really what we experienced--cool weather (but not unpleasant) and lots of clouds.
But lo and behold, what do I see when I open the door on Saturday morning? Blazing sunshine, and temperatures well above the norm. The kind of weather prospective brides (and grooms) dream of. And guess what? It lasted all day, and even into Sunday. Mother Nature was certainly smiling on us!
Bintliff's, with its decadent dishes and over-the-top decor, is probably our favorite restaurant in Ogunquit. We really wanted our guests to experience it, but felt it was just a tad too far from the hotel for the wedding dinner. So we decided to do brunch there. Then we gave everyone some time to enjoy Maine on their own. It was wonderful to sit by the pool and chat with our guests as they went swimming, shopping, sightseeing, and came back with stories of their adventures.
